JAM NIGHTS ARE BACK! May's turned out to be a massive month for the band! ![]() For starters, there's now 25% less Asparagus - with bassist Tommy moving on to new things, and Ian stepping up from guitar to bass. Our official three-piece debut at The Herald went down a storm and we've already got a ton of new tunes in the works. The new lineup is tighter, punchier, and also a whole lot madder - and there's a lot of instrument-hopping [see pic]! Thanks to Tommy for his years of active service at the Asparagus frontline. We wish him all the best at his new residence, the Deacon Memorial Home For Overworked and Underrated Bass Players. UPDATE - CROSBY MUSIC FESTIVAL ![]() Just a quick note to say we'll be playing the Crosby Music Festival twice this year. First of all, on the Friday night (28th) we'll be in Blues Bar. On the Sunday we'll be playing on the main stage, grabbing a lucrative 4PM slot and sandwiched between a funky folk band and Paul Weller's drummer (not literally, though that'd be one hell of an anecdote). It's all free, there's loads of great bands to see (including the awesome We the Undersigned, Adam Richie, Higsbosun, Katy McGrath and a ton more) and there'll be booze aplenty - so you've got no excuse to come down and have a great weekend. Matt might even buy you a pint. |
